1955 Vincent Black Knight

This 1955 Vincent Black Knight is believed to be just one of just 101 of the bikes ever produced by famed classic British motorcycle manufacturer Vincent.

In fact, according to the previous owner, our 1955 Vincent Black Knight was followed by a mere 36 of the motorcycles.

Vincent’s most well-known motorcycle models are, arguably, the Comet, Rapide, and Black Shadow. The trio were complemented by enclosed versions of these motorcycles: named the Victor, Black Knight and Black Prince, respectively. The enclosed bodywork of these classic motorcycles offered riders of the time greater weather protection and – according to Vincent motorcycle dealers and salesmen of the time – an aerodynamic advantage. However, these enclosed motorcycles were not as popular with the average motorcycle enthusiast of the time. Nevertheless, they’re a worthy part of the Vincent story and we’re pleased to have a slightly more unusual Vincent model among our stable of these classic beauties.
