Art Gallery
No, Invercargill is not the home of the Mona Lisa. But we know guests will love the immersive experience they will discover here at Classic Motorcycle Mecca.
With a collection of vintage artwork by famed names such as George Hamel - arguably the most important automobile, motorcycle and aviation artist from the 1920s through to the early post-WWII period - and Sussex-based artist Michael Newton, our art collection adds to the unique ambience found at the Southern Hemisphere's leading motorcycle museum.
Perhaps the most recognisable of our artwork is the piece known as 'La Motosacoche brevetée en tous pays' - translation, 'Motosacoche - patented in all countries'. Featuring some familiar faces (Czar Nicolas II, anyone?) this vintage poster from 1902 is an intriguing and thought-provoking slice of motorcycle history.
